FAQs

  • What is Care Consultation?

Care consultation is a short-term, strategic service (typically a one-time or occasional session) that offers expert elder and dementia care guidance, insight, and planning support. It’s less about hands-on coordination and more about helping you understand options and make informed decisions.

It includes reviewing your current care situation; identifying gaps or concerns; recommending next steps, resources, or services; answering your questions; and helping you plan.

  • What is the rate?

60-Minute Clarity Sessions: $175 per hour.

Friendly Visitor Services: $175 per hour.

Ongoing Care Management: $220 per hour / $320 per hour nights and weekend.

Long Term Care Communities: Inquire for rates and pricing.

  • How do I know if I need Care Consultation or Care Management?

I’ll help you determine the best fit during our initial intake call. Some families may find an on-occasion consultation helpful, while others may benefit from more ongoing support and coordination.

  • Can more than one person join a Clarity Session?

Yes. After scheduling your Clarity Session, you’ll receive instructions on how to share our meeting with those who would like to join. I encourage key decision-makers to attend so everyone feels informed and aligned.

  • How are services billed?

All services are private pay and are not covered by Medicare or insurance. Many families find that expert guidance helps them avoid costly missteps, make confident decisions, and make the most of their care resources over time.

  • What information do you NOT provide during consultations?

During consultations, I am not able to: (1) diagnose dementia or any other medical condition; (2) medically evaluate an individual; (3) purchase equipment or devices; (4) bill insurance; (5) provide legal advice or prepare legal documents; (6) replace the role of an attorney, physician, or financial advisor; or (7) provide direct care or hands-on caregiving services.

  • Are you a referral agency?

No. I do not provide formal, paid referrals. I do, however, maintain a list of organizations that are recommended based on experience and client needs.

  • What area do you service?

I currently serve clients in the King County area for both in-person visits and recommendations.
